Our niche is a line of hand crafted favors and decorations that our customers love.

Advertising Sales Account Executive (Woodland Hills)

The San Fernando Valley Business Journal is seeking a qualified advertising sales account executive for a full time sales position. The primary responsibilities include prospecting and closing new business (in person appointments and telephone sales, only; no door to door necessary), attending local business networking events and managing both new and existing client accounts. You will spend 60% of your time prospecting for new business, developing and presenting written advertising proposals and managing existing client relationships. You will spend 20% of your time managing a client data base and you will also manage routine sales administrative tasks. The remaining 20% of time will be spent attending local business events to represent the company. The successful candidate will have a a minimum of two years experience in media sales and be proficient using Microsoft programs including WORD, Excel and Powerpoint. Sales Associate – Tile Showroom (River North)

The Tile Gallery, a luxury tile, stone and lighting business, is seeking an experienced sales person for our River North showroom. The ideal candidate will have experience in the tile and stone, furnishings or a design related industry. This position demands a person with strong organizational skills, superior attention to detail and the ability to move quickly to meet the demands of client needs in a sales environment. This person must have a sales focus – you will be expected to make outside sales calls along with servicing the existing client base. Although we do service the retail customer, the majority of our business comes through our relationships with our architect and design clients. The Tile Gallery is open Monday through Saturday so you will rotate on for one or two Saturdays per month with the following Friday off.

If you have experience in the tile and stone industry you will know that our business requires a great attention to detail. In addition to the design issues, there are also various technical factors that must be taken into account and communicated to the client. The ideal candidate would have some work experience in the design field and be a quick-thinker who can assimilate a lot of technical details and product information. As well as assisting the customer with product selections, you will also do rough construction take-offs, prepare material cost estimates, cut purchase orders, track the jobs through production, coordinate shipping and delivery, etc. Strong computer and math skills are important. Organization, follow thru and the ability to juggle many projects at one time are critical for this position!
