During that period of isolation, the land of New Zealand developed a stunning array of both animal and plant life. Notably, New Zealand is home to large number of unique bird species, most of which become extinct after the arrival of humans. Due to the moderate maritime climate around the islands, most of the land in New Zealand is covered in expansive forests. New Zealand is a fantastic country to visit for any nature enthusiast.

Character

The largely rural life in early New Zealand has cultivated an image of the country being rugged and industrious. In the early 1960s, however, higher education standards become more available and cities started to expand. Urban culture began to dominate as most of the citizens currently living in New Zealand do so in cities. Even still, the majority of New Zealand’s art, literature and film have many rural themes.

Attractions

New Zealand has a multitude of national parks, rural areas, and exciting attractions that are well worth looking into. The Abel Tasman National Park offers pristine beaches, kayaking and a scenic coastal biking track. The Tongariro National Park is renowned for having three volcanoes, two ski fields, and one of the most visited hiking paths in the whole country. Another beautiful area for visitors to see is the Coromandel Peninsula. This historic coastline has tons of beach and hiking opportunities that is only an hour journey from the capital city of Auckland.

Requirements For Travel

With a valid United States passport you are able to stay in New Zealand for up to three months. However, with exception of Australians and permanent residents, gaining entry as a visitor does not allow for employment in New Zealand. If visiting as a tourist you must present a return ticket or evidence of continued travel to enter New Zealand. If you do not have this you will be told to purchase such proof at the airport to be allowed to check in. More information about the minimum requirements of travel documents is readily available online. Get an overnight pass port if you need one.

– Assist with coordinating pop-up openings
– Provide curatorial assistance

– Excellent written and oral communication skills

– Your own car
– Your own apple mac book

Hours are flexible; Mon- Fri, about 20 hours per week.

Alcohol

Alcohol can be a very dangerous drug for some people. Not only can it harm their physical health but it can also damage friendships and work relationships. Many people who become dependent on alcohol also face legal problems. Drunk driving is foremost among those, but drinking can also lead to other illegal activities as people who are under the influence may feel less inhibited from acting impulsively. This impulsiveness may increase the likelihood of committing assault or other crimes. Alcohol rehab facilities are available for people attending on their own volition, but many are compelled to receive treatment by the courts as part of a criminal sentence or as a condition of probation or parole.

Counseling

Those who begin therapy may first have to undergo detoxification, especially if they arrive when they are under the influence. Later they can begin therapy and counseling. However, counseling and therapy usually can not begin to address the problem until the patient is sober and healthy enough to make cognitive decisions without experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

Detoxification

Detoxification becomes necessary in many cases for people who are dependent on alcohol. These people may experience significant withdrawal symptoms including in some cases life threatening delirium tremens. DTs are characterized by convulsions, hallucinations and blurred consciousness. Persons suffering from intense withdrawal symptoms often require residential treatment so that they can be monitored for rapid changes in health. Sometimes the administration of tranquilizers such as Ativan or Valium might be recommended.

Group Therapy

Many rehab programs follow the twelve step program outlined by Alcoholics Anonymous. However, not every facility employs this model and there are other therapeutic approaches to recovery. Although programs differ in design, all of them are designed with the goal of getting the patient sober and keeping him or her sober for the long haul.

Residential Care Facilities

Some people may need inpatient care for their addiction while others can go outpatient. It is all up to the doctor who sees the patient and determines what they may need. In a residential program, several professionals will work with a patient to help them recover. Outpatient treatment may have less doctors as it requires less maintenance.

Sobriety

There are several repercussions for having an alcohol problem. It can affect one’s personal relationships, work history and stability, and one’s health. Of course, all of these are important to having a healthy life. Rehabilitation facilities help bring about change and health for people of all ages. A patient must want the change, however. No one can make them change unless they want it. The goal is sobriety.
